She’s been resting for days now. Only waking up to eat and go the toilet. Uncle Matthew has been very strict about us not bothering her and never having more than two people in her room at the time. I wish I could keep watching over her, making sure it doesn’t happen again, but life goes on.
Charlie and I both have jobs now. We both work a lot of hours and I barly have time to take care of myself. Let alone my mother. So aunt Naomi and uncle Matthew are her prime caretakers now. Dad is constantly at work too. What happened to mom only proves that your time can come sooner rather than later and he hasn’t completed his task yet. Charlie has been spending a concerning amount of time at her desk lately. She’s usually writing and when mail comes in she is the first one to rush outside. I haven’t brought it up to her yet, but I wonder who is writing her this many letters. As for the rest of the family, they’re each dealing with the shock their own way. Laurence locks himself in his room all day, Alice furiously sprays the back of the house, Eric is trying to charm his way onto every girl that passes the house and Sam is taking it out on the punching bag. As for the kids… they should’ve never seen that happen. They just talk to each other and no one else. Whenever uncle Matthew and aunt Naomi see them they look at each other with painful recognition. I know the outline of what their childhood was like, but when this like this happen I can only guess at the details. -Damien
